Mark Charnet has designed a customizable roadmap to success which has served a long list of clients on the journey to pursuing their own financial goals. A self-made millionaire, Mark founded American Prosperity Group, a national financial estate planning franchise which takes a unique approach to retirement and legacy planning. Frequently featured in national publications including Investment News Magazine, as well as contributions as a featured columnist for Life and Leisure, Mark is widely recognized for his diligence in developing financial plans that prepare his clients to retire with confidence. With 37 years of experience as a financial expert, it is safe to say Mark has achieved his goal. From speaking all over the country to deliver his approach to financial advising approach, to being featured in Investment News Magazine, Mark strives to deliver the best financial plans possible to his clients and beyond.

While talking with clients from a previous business venture, Charnet observed topics for employee financial planning that were some common issues for clients; 1) Employers were beginning to shift responsibilities to the employee. Responsibilities such as health care, retirement funding and other critical benefits had become burdens to the employee.  2) Even with interactions with clients who have accumulated wealth, they did not know how to maximize their retirement income while preserving, protecting and perpetuating their wealth to succeed generations.

Through these observations, Mark along with his wife, Teresa founded American Prosperity Group in 2006 to spread his knowledge to help people. Specializing in wealth management, legacy planning, retirement planning and income continuation plans, Mark offers an array of services depending on your goals. Mark resides with his wife and business partner, Terry Charnet, in Wayne, NJ. Mark and Terry have been happily married for almost 32 years, and have 4 children, one of which now works alongside Mark and Terry every day facilitating the growth and expansion of APG nationally. Outside of APG, Mark has served as the vice-president for his local Synagogue and is the member of multiple charitable boards. He enjoys traveling to Rome to appreciate the beauty of The Vatican, as well as being an accomplished alpine skier, karate student and composer.

As an Administrator at Assurance & Guarantee, Catelyn Terrill is motivated by her desire to help others. Everyday she works to help men and women achieve their retirement goals; Catelyn understands how difficult it can be to plan for retirement without the aid of an advisor. You can find Catelyn helping clients, taking phone calls, filling out paperwork, and assisting retirement planners daily.

Originally from Burlington, North Carolina, Catelyn now resides in Graham, North Carolina with her husband, Isaac. Her favorite travel destination is any beach on the West Coast. Her favorite hobbies include music, playing the piano, and learning sign language. Catelyn wants to ensure that all others feel comfortable and loved; she is able to achieve this by continuously living an honest life and passionately serving God.

Olivia Hutchens

Office Manager

As the Media Manager at Assurance and Guarantee, Isaac’s primary responsibilities consist of working with the company’s social media and marketing. He chose to enter the financial industry because of his desire to help people make informed decisions about the money that they’ve invested, therefore helping people live a happier and healthier retirement.

Isaac has been in the industry for 2 years and says that the most valuable lesson he’s learned thus far, is to make sure that the people you’re working with have your best interest in mind and not their own.

Before entering the financial industry, Isaac attended Steller school for Higher Learning and is currently working on getting his Mechatronics Engineering Degree at Alamance Community College. Aside from school and working at Assurance and Guarantee, Isaac enjoys playing sports such as basketball, soccer, and airsoft.
