We are a company that deeply values human life, and will do what we can to protect it.

APG giving back

This is the second tent that Terry and Mark Charnet are donating for Hatti relief, the first being 11 years ago, through the AFYA organization. It is the goal of the Charnet’s and APG to always lend a helping hand whenever we can, to help those in need and less fortunate than we are. We are proud to associate with AFYA who ships outdated and discarded medical supplies from hospitals and doctor’s offices, clinics and the like, to countries in desperate need like Hatti after suffering an earthquake or natural disaster. AFYA also sends food containers too. Please look them up to see what you can do to serve the hungry, sick or damaged people of the world.

“On behalf of the Afya Foundation and the thousands of people we serve, I want to thank for your donation of a 1,600 square foot tent, to be used as a Field Hospital for Haiti relief efforts. At the Afya Foundation, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a human right, and for 13 years, we have been improving healthcare delivery in underserved communities worldwide. Your gift makes it possible for us to continue this work”.

Dear Mark,

With access to the right supplies, a healthcare provider can save countless lives. We live in perilous times and across the globe millions of people lose their lives every year due to poor-quality healthcare. Thanks to you, a lack of supplies won’t mean the difference between life and death.

On behalf of the Afya Foundation and the thousands of people we serve, I want to thank for your donation of a 1,600 square foot tent, to be used as a Field Hospital for Haiti relief efforts. At the Afya Foundation, we believe that access to quality healthcare is a human right, and for 13 years, we have been improving healthcare delivery in underserved communities worldwide. Your gift makes it possible for us to continue this work.

In particular, your gift is helping the Afya Foundation to mobilize in real time following the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti on August 14. Afya is sending thousands of pounds of needed supplies from PPE, wound care and surgical supplies to personal hygiene kits to clinics in affected areas.

The last few years have been trying ones for healthcare professionals. The Covid-19 Pandemic created an even deeper divide between those who have access to healthcare and the supplies needed to deliver it, and those who do not. Afya is committed to shrinking this gap and we are using our expertise matching surplus to need, our intimate knowledge of the supply chain and a nimble approach towards aid delivery to tackle this problem head on.

Everyone who touches this work from the medical professionals on the ground who dictate need, to the hospitals that donate supplies, to our volunteers at the warehouse who sort and package equipment to our generous donors, is part of a beautiful circle of giving. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support of thoughtful individuals like yourself.

With good health and gratitude,
Danielle Butin
